A couple from Britain turned Spanish caves into a cozy hotel
Mark and Shirley from Edinburgh lived in the south of Spain for about eight years. They usually spent their weekends in a traditional cave house, and they enjoyed this type of accommodation so much that they decided to build a similar hotel.
To do this, they bought a plot of land in Andalusia, known as the "land of caves". It cost them 25 thousand euros, and another 50 thousand were spent by the Britons on renovations to turn the underground space into a cute and cozy hotel.
Mark and Shirley combined several caves, creating a mini-hotel with three rooms. They also spent around 20 thousand on landscaping the area and a luxurious pool. Using almost all of their savings, the Britons made their dream a reality and now happily welcome guests to their Cuevas Helena hotel. Take a look at how amazingly this area has been transformed, and it's very difficult to recognize the old caves here!
