Hotels on wheels: what will future hotels look like

Hotels on wheels: what will future hotels look like

Imagine a mini-hotel room on wheels that can pick you up right after work and take you to your destination. Sounds like fiction? Perhaps, but it seems this will soon become a reality.

The Autonomous Travel Suite is a mobile hotel that, in addition to traditional lodging, offers "door-to-door" services. This means you can be picked up directly from your home or office and taken several hundred kilometers away. During the journey, you can make the most of your time: while the Travel Suite is on the move, you can take a shower, relax, sleep, or even work.

Such mini-hotels on wheels were presented by the design studio Aprilli. For now, this is just a project, but in the future, it could revolutionize the tourism sector.

Essentially, the Autonomous Travel Suite is a spacious electric vehicle powered by solar panels. It includes everything you would find in a regular hotel room: a bedroom, a workspace, a bathroom, a kitchen, a toilet, and even an entertainment area with games and movies.

The automated hotel can handle journeys lasting between 6 to 10 hours. There will be different modifications of the hotel: the size of the ATS will depend on how many people are planning to travel in it.

The hotel is autonomous, and there's no need to drive here. It will be controlled via an app: simply set the desired route. If desired, you can also specify stops, such as at a restaurant. The windows are not ordinary but "smart," allowing you to hide everything happening inside the room in just seconds.

There are also plans to develop special parking hotels for the ATS, where travelers can enjoy all the services of a regular hotel: a swimming pool, fitness center, restaurant, game room, and conference hall.

Overall, traveling in such a house on wheels will be cheaper than renting a hotel room: after all, the ATS combines the cost of accommodation and transportation expenses.
