Luxury not accessible to everyone: the coolest hotel in the world

Walking through the coolest hotel in the world is, unfortunately, not something everyone can do. However, that is why TravelAsk exists, to take you on a virtual tour of the most luxurious hotel.
Sunny Dubai
As many may have guessed, the most luxurious hotel is located in the United Arab Emirates. There's no denying it, they love to be ahead of the curve: they have the tallest skyscraper, the highest hotel, and the largest shopping mall, all in Dubai.
The hotel is popularly known as the Sail, but officially it is called Burj Al Arab.

The hotel is located on an artificial island 280 meters from the shore, and it was built at the end of the 20th century.
It is the only seven-star hotel in the world. However, this status was given to it by journalists; the hotel itself positions itself as a five-star deluxe.
28 pieces a night
Burj Al Arab is also one of the tallest hotels (for a long time, it held the leading position in this category): it reaches into the sky at 321 meters. But despite its impressive size, the hotel has only 202 rooms. This is because all of them are luxury class: they are all duplex and have a separate terrace. The balcony offers a beautiful view of the sea and Dubai. The level of comfort and luxury here is simply off the charts. All suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of the Persian Gulf and free Wi-Fi is available.

Each suite is also equipped with an iPad covered in 24-karat gold, a 21-inch iMac computer, a widescreen interactive television with high-definition picture, as well as a Bose docking station for iPhone and a media center.
As for the finishes, about 8000 square meters of 24-karat gold leaf were used in the interior of Burj Al Arab.

The most modest room is "only" 169 square meters, while the largest is nearly 800 square meters.
The cost of one night here can reach up to 28,000 dollars. However, there are also cheaper rooms available: within 3,000-5,000 dollars per night.
In addition, the hotel features two escalators, a stunningly beautiful fountain, and numerous restaurants.
Hotel Design
Externally, the hotel resembles a sail. This design pays homage to Arab culture: the building looks like an Arab dhow ship.

Inside, the interior is designed in an oriental style. The corridors are adorned with unique mosaics, and the height of the atrium lobby is 180 meters.

The architect who designed the building aimed to embody the hallmark of Dubai in the skyscraper, similar to the Eiffel Tower in Paris, for example. And he succeeded: today the hotel has become a true symbol of the southern Persian Gulf.
But what truly makes Burj Al Arab special is not only its decor but also its unparalleled level of service. The hotel has been repeatedly recognized as the most luxurious place for relaxation in the world. The hotel's management offers the best service and infrastructure: a beach, a spa center with panoramic windows overlooking the Persian Gulf, hot tubs, steam baths, and 9 restaurants with exquisite cuisine. There is even a helipad, as well as limousine or Rolls-Royce transfer services with a personal driver. In addition, the hotel offers a personal butler service, and registration is conducted in the room rather than at the front desk, as is common in other hotels. Transfers to the main attractions of Dubai are completely free.

The restaurants here are also luxurious. One of the hotel’s restaurants, "Al Muntaha," is located 200 meters above the Persian Gulf, offering a view of Dubai. Access to it is via a panoramic elevator. However, this is not the most remarkable of them. In "Al Mahara," another restaurant, guests are delivered on a vessel that resembles a submarine.

To achieve this, a huge aquarium filled with seawater was created, holding over a million liters. This restaurant is considered one of the best restaurants in the world by Conde Nast Traveler magazine.
According to some estimates, the construction of Burj Al Arab cost one billion dollars.
