Shanghai is a combination of Chinese and European architecture and history, with glass skyscrapers and constant movement.
In this selection, I have gathered the best hotels in the central Pudong area with a view of the "Oriental Pearl" TV tower, the third tallest in Asia and the fifth tallest in the world. Besides the tower, the Pudong area has many other attractions, as well as museums, shops, restaurants, and other entertainment. The image galleries and prices get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on September 27, 2024.

Hotel in a stylish historic building. Located opposite the waterfront, in a prestigious area of the city with many shops and restaurants.
From the windows and balconies overlooking the waterfront, there is a panoramic view of the Huangpu River and the buildings on the opposite bank, including the "Oriental Pearl" Tower. On the 6th floor, there is the Victoria Roof Garden, which offers stunning views of the city towards the river.
This hotel is infused with the atmosphere of Art Deco. Inside, you feel as if you have stepped into the era of The Great Gatsby.
Jazz is played by the famous group Old Jazz Band. There is a tour desk, fitness center, spa, and indoor pool. For the first time, I encounter this, but the hotel has its own museum where you can learn about the history of the city.
Every morning, a varied "buffet" breakfast is served for guests. The hotel has three restaurants offering Chinese and European cuisine. There is also Victor's café with French pastries and coffee. The Jazz bar hosts jazz evenings and has the atmosphere of the roaring 20s.
Very stylish hotel, entering which you step into another era. Moreover, it has a wonderful location. The views from the window are stunning, especially at night when the whole city is lit up with lights.

Hotel on the banks of the Huangpu River, a 5-minute walk from the "Oriental Pearl" TV Tower.
The TV tower is very close to the hotel. To see it from your window, it's better to choose rooms with a city view rather than a river view.
The hotel features spacious rooms decorated in a French style, quite modern, with interesting details and large windows.
The hotel has a fitness center, a spa, an indoor swimming pool, a tennis court, and a tour desk.
The Riverside Hall restaurant serves a buffet breakfast. There are also restaurants with French and Chinese cuisine. The Moon River Bar is open from 4 PM to midnight.
I think the main advantage of this hotel is its location: right next to the "Oriental Pearl" tower, close to the waterfront, Shanghai Tower, metro station, as well as museums, parks, shops, and restaurants. In the reviews, hotel guests note the spacious rooms and first-class service.

Five-star hotel on the bank of the Huangpu River. In 7 minutes you can reach the "Oriental Pearl" Tower and also the Shanghai Tower, and in 15-20 minutes - to the embankment.
The Mandarin Oriental rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows that span the entire wall. Can you imagine the view from them? The whole city at your feet! The hotel has rooms with river views, but to see the tower, it is better to choose a room with a city view.
The hotel offers a variety of rooms from quite simple to suites with a living room, dining area, and kitchenette. All rooms are equipped with a wardrobe, a desk, a refrigerator, and a marble bathroom with a bathtub.
I liked that the hotel offers yoga and tai chi classes, as well as meditations - just what is needed to start the day energetically or to end it peacefully. There is a gym and an indoor pool.
The hotel has three restaurants offering Chinese, French, and international cuisine. There is also a pastry shop with a huge selection of desserts and baked goods. In the "Riviera" lounge, you can enjoy afternoon tea in a cozy setting, and in the evening, have a cocktail at the bar.
A hotel suitable for both business trips and family vacations. I really liked the floor-to-ceiling windows in the rooms, the sports activities, and the morning meditations.

IFC Residence is part of the Shanghai IFC complex, which also includes office buildings and a large shopping center with elite shops, restaurants, a cinema, and other entertainment options.
The hotel has rooms facing the "Oriental Pearl", and some also overlook the Lu Jia Zui Park. There is also a rooftop terrace with breathtaking views of the city.
IFC Residence rooms are comfortable apartments with one or multiple bedrooms, an office, and a fully equipped kitchen. Please note that the area of the rooms will be smaller than that indicated on the hotel website. This is because China has its own system for calculating area. In any case, please keep this fact in mind when booking.
The hotel features a tour desk, fitness center, indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam bath, and an indoor children's playground.
In the mornings, a buffet breakfast is arranged for the hotel guests. There is no restaurant for lunch and dinner in the hotel, but there is a very wide selection of cafes and restaurants right in this and neighboring buildings.
This hotel has comfortable rooms that have everything you need to feel at home. I liked the indoor pool with large windows overlooking the city. And the hotel's location is very good: near a shopping mall, a park, and attractions.

The hotel is located on the upper floors of the 58-story Lujiazui tower. The windows overlook the Bund waterfront and the "Oriental Pearl" tower. From the description, it's clear that the view will be stunning.
The hotel has rooms and suites with a view of the "Oriental Pearl." For example, Pearl Tower View Room, Club Pearl Tower View. Rooms facing the waterfront (Bund) may also have a partial view of the tower. Additionally, a stunning panoramic view is available from the bar on the 58th floor.
Spacious rooms decorated in Art Deco style. The Club level rooms provide access to the exclusive Club Ritz-Carlton. Club members have access to the club lounge and culinary presentations five times a day, where guests are offered various dishes and are informed about their history and ingredients. Club level rooms include shoe cleaning and ironing services, as well as the option to order Dyson Airwrap and Technogym equipment for workouts.
The spa center is located on the 55th floor, featuring a steam room, dry sauna, treatment rooms, and an indoor heated pool, along with a panoramic view of the city.
On the top floor of the hotel is the Flair restaurant and bar with a stunning view of the city. The Aura lounge bar features jazz music, serving tea, coffee, and light snacks. The hotel also has Italian and Chinese restaurants. In the mornings, a "breakfast buffet" is offered to guests.
Most hotel guests in their reviews call it ideal, and I agree with them. I liked this hotel more than any other: the view from the tall windows of the rooms, the bar on the 58th floor, the large spa center with a variety of treatments, high-class service. If there are any small drawbacks in this hotel, the advantages outweigh them.
