During this vacation, my husband and I wanted to go to a place where we could swim in the clear sea and see a beautiful city with history. After reviewing travel options, I dismissed those that seemed too boring and those with not-so-good beaches. The top place on my list is Dubrovnik – a historic city in Croatia, included in the UNESCO heritage list. We plan to spend the first half of the day, when it’s not too hot, at the beach, and after lunch, head out for a walk in the medieval city’s streets, museums, and fortresses. All that’s left is to choose a suitable hotel near the beach. The image galleries and prices get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on May 16, 2025.

The 19th-century building that houses the Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik is located on a small rise, offering views of the old town and the sea. Majestic mountains rise behind the building, bringing with them coolness and the scents of green trees. We really enjoyed this hotel; its location is simply perfect!
The road to Dubrovnik's city beach will take about 10 minutes. Entrance to the sea is via a staircase. You can reach it through the old town. The most important thing is not to forget where you’re going along the way; the beautiful sights call you to stroll longer. It will take a little over 10 minutes to get to the cable car to Mount Srđ - the best viewpoint in the city.
They are decorated in pleasant colors of the Mediterranean coast. We chose a standard room with a sea view. But there are also more spacious rooms - executive and super suites.
The hotel has an indoor swimming pool, and thanks to the glass roof, it is always sunny here, so the changing weather will not affect your swimming plans. Athletes will appreciate the hotel gym. And those who want to relax while on vacation will enjoy the SPA center and room service. We have already found a SPA program for ourselves that we will definitely include in our sightseeing schedule and visits to the sea.
There is no private beach, but there is a public one nearby.
Hotel in the very heart of Dubrovnik.

The beach and the proximity to the Old Town – are undeniable advantages of this hotel. We liked it because it allowed us to easily fulfill our plan for this trip: swimming in the sea in the morning and strolling through the historic center in the evening.
The hotel is surrounded by the mountains of Croatia, and its pebble beach is in a small cove, ensuring that there is always calm water, making tourists happy with comfortable swimming. Hotel guests say that the view of the beach resembles a picture from a postcard. There are sun loungers, next to which is a – beach bar with white furniture, and in the evening, lighting is turned on here.
The rooms were completely updated in 2019. Each of them features large windows with views of the white waves and inaccessible rocks. I enjoy evening gatherings on the balcony overlooking the sea, so an important factor in choosing a hotel will be this. The classic rooms of this hotel do not have a balcony, but the upgraded ones do.
The cost of the rooms includes breakfast. You can choose something from the buffet or order additional dishes from the menu. Tourists recommend visiting the restaurant not only for breakfast and praise the dishes served from the menu. The Vapora restaurant offers international cuisine, including Dalmatian dishes. For wine lovers, there is a wine bar, and I am sure my husband will want to appreciate the varieties presented here.
The hotel has an indoor pool and a spa center.
The road to the Old Town goes through steep streets with ups and downs. Some tourists may prefer to get around here by taxi.
A good pebble beach with a gentle entrance, which is rare for Dubrovnik.

This hotel is located away from the center, but it has an undeniable advantage – a good wide beach with a gentle entry into the sea.
The hotel is located on the green peninsula of Babin Kuk. It is famous for its beautiful nature: mountains and forests. The hotel’s private beach has everything you need: sun loungers, umbrellas, and a fenced area for swimming. The water here is blue and clear.
Rooms are available to suit every taste and company size – from 30 to 100 square meters. Each room has a balcony or terrace and offers a view of the main goal of our trip – the sea!
I don't know what to choose: just breakfast or breakfast and dinner. Breakfasts at the hotel are served in buffet style, while dinner is served from a menu that changes every day.
The hotel has two swimming pools, one indoor and the other an outdoor infinity pool. There is a spa center.
Far from the center of Dubrovnik.
Good private beach and beautiful nature.

Nature and beach lovers will appreciate the location of this hotel. On one side, the hotel is surrounded by mountains, while on the other, there is access to a picturesque beach, one of the best in Dubrovnik according to tourist ratings. The hotel has a large green area, which has everything necessary for a comfortable stay.
The hotel has its own rocky beach. For the convenience of guests, sun loungers are located on a platform elevated above it. It smells of the sea and fir trees that surround the nearby coast. The surrounding landscape is so beautiful that I fear you won't want to leave here at all.
The Deluxe Double room captivated me. Bright and stylish, it has access to its own balcony-terrace, from where there is a view of the calm sea. I love rooms with a sea view! By the way, for those who prefer more spacious accommodations, there are apartments with a private kitchen. You can choose a sea view or a garden view.
The hotel has a restaurant Cilantro, surrounded by a garden and overlooking the sea. Dinner with a sea view is something I have missed so much in the stuffy city! And breakfast with a sea view is even better, especially when it's included in the room rate, like here.
The hotel has such a developed infrastructure that you can stay inside without going outside (although we would like to visit the Old Town of Dubrovnik). There are three pools, a spa, wellness and sports centers, the Marco Polo kids' club, and an entertainment program every evening.
You can reach the historic part of Dubrovnik by shuttle, which the hotel organizes for guests. The distance to it is just over 11 km.
Far from the center of Dubrovnik.
Private beach and developed hotel infrastructure.

The hotel is located by the sea, and the views from it are very picturesque! Tourists speak highly of the level of service and the rooms.
The hotel building towers on a mountain, so the beach is organized on a wooden deck, and you can swim by entering the sea via well-designed steps. The rocky coastline has its own charm, and the water is usually clear and clean.
You can reach the old town on foot in 15-20 minutes.
The bright rooms have panoramic windows, and you can choose a view of the park or the sea. Some standard rooms have a balcony or terrace. The suites and deluxe rooms have their own spacious terrace.
Breakfast and dinner are served here in the form of a buffet, and you can include them in your booking either together or separately. We enjoy having meals in the hotel in the morning and evening, while going into the city for lunch.
If you want gastronomic diversity, it is also possible. The hotel has three restaurants. Turquoise offers Mediterranean cuisine and national dishes of Dalmatia, Umi Teppanyaki is a Japanese restaurant with culinary shows, and Libertas Fish is a seafood restaurant.
It takes half an hour to get from Dubrovnik airport to the hotel.
In warm weather, guests are invited to swim in the outdoor and indoor pools. When it is cool outside, only the indoor pool is open. The spa center has a sauna.
Swimming in the sea is impossible in windy weather – the descent is closed for safety reasons.
Picturesque views from the hotel. Conveniently combine beach and cultural leisure.
