I will be passing through Finland — the country of my long-time dream. In general, I have wanted to travel through Scandinavia for a long time. Helsinki is one of the stops, there will also be Oulu, Oslo, Bergen, Stockholm, and Malmö. Such an adventure awaits me! From one end to the other of the Scandinavian Peninsula. My budget is small, and I am choosing hotels with breakfast. The image galleries and prices get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on January 24, 2025.

Scandic Hakaniemi — an excellent hotel at a good price with outstanding service, if the reviews are to be believed. And they are the highest! It is not located in the very center of the city, but surrounded by parks and a bay. I am satisfied!
The Scandic Hakaniemi offers a good selection of breakfast dishes. You can have a hearty meal with a Finnish twist, for example, local Karelian pastries and northern berries will make an excellent start to the day. And what pleases me, and I've noticed this for the umpteenth time — the abundance of fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs. An undeniable plus!
The rooms here are simple, concise, and in Scandinavian style. Despite the presence of many colors, they are all closer to pastel shades, creating even more coziness. It's great that the hotel is located not far from the water, and some rooms have windows overlooking the bay — I would definitely stay in one of those! For example, an upgraded view standard would suit me perfectly.
Scandic Hakaniemi — a good hotel with excellent service, featuring a small leisure area, including two saunas and a gym. Although I plan to spend my free time visiting museums and walking around the city.

Hotel Anna — a lovely hotel in the center of Helsinki surrounded by parks. I would explore the surroundings on foot all the time — I love to walk! The Stockmann and Sokos department stores are just a 10-minute walk away. It's convenient in case I need to pick up something for my tour of the northern countries.
Every morning in the hotel, breakfast is served in a buffet format, where all the usual items are available, and most importantly, there is a large selection of fresh vegetables and fruits. I was even surprised that in Finland they like to serve pickled cucumbers for breakfast — unusual! There are also various cold cuts of meats and cheeses, fresh pastries, eggs — all of this in abundance. As for drinks in Hotel Anna, you will find cocoa, juices, coffee, and tea. Breakfast is served at convenient times: on weekdays — from 7 to 10 AM, on weekends and holidays — from 8 to 11 AM.
In Hotel Anna, the interiors of the rooms are quite simple — without excesses. I like that Finnish hotels use a lot of textiles. So cozy! The bathrooms have heated floors, laminate everywhere, good beds and pillows. From the very beginning, I have the feeling that I am being taken care of here. I decided to choose the double comfort.
Hotel Anna impresses with its coziness and homely atmosphere. It feels like I'm awaited here after a long walk, with lunch prepared and the sauna warmed up. Can you imagine what it's like to return here! I read reviews and often found that guests come back time and again.

Hotel Arthur — a simple and modern hotel near the Botanical Garden of the University of Helsinki. Picturesque and quiet area. There are decent rooms and a good restaurant where I can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And in Finnish traditions — a sauna!
Breakfasts in the form of a buffet are already included in the stay. A good option for a traveler like me. You don't have to think about what to eat, just choose from what is available! And the selection is great! Boiled eggs, omelets, various meat and cheese snacks, they even serve salted fish, vegetables, fruits, and greens. Oh, what a variety! Quite decent for 3 stars! Breakfast hours vary on weekdays from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM, on weekends - from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
All rooms in the hotel are quite simple, with light interiors. And what’s good — for those traveling with a group — you can book one room. There are rooms for three and even four guests. Convenient! I will be alone, so I will choose a classic double room with one bed.
Hotel Arthur — quite decent for its price. In the restaurant, you can try dishes of Finnish cuisine, and on the premises, you can go warm up in the sauna — overall, you will feel the local vibe like never before.
