Hamburg is one of my favorite cities in Germany! It is a very cozy city with beautiful architecture, spacious green parks, theaters, museums, and galleries. The cultural life here is vibrant! I have been to Hamburg many times and have prepared a selection of the best hotels with breakfast included, where I have examined all the advantages and disadvantages of each of them! Enjoy your viewing! The image galleries and prices get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on January 24, 2025.

One of the best hotels in Hamburg is the five-star Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten, which is extremely popular among tourists. Luxurious interiors, first-class service, and breakfast in the finest royal traditions make this hotel legendary. Staying here at least once is a great fortune!
A wonderful diverse breakfast in a buffet format at this hotel will delight even the most discerning traveler. I found it so difficult to choose something specific, as I wanted to try absolutely everything! I really enjoyed the fresh pastries: various croissants, scones, rolls, and delicious bread. Of course, there are various egg dishes, cheeses, sausages, hot dogs, lightly salted fish, fresh fruits and vegetables, yogurts, various snacks, desserts, and several hot dishes. I especially loved the delicious toast with poached egg, waffles with caramel and fruits, pancakes with chocolate sauce, and fried eggs! Of course, it's worth mentioning that breakfast here takes place in the best traditions of royal society: white tablecloths, beautiful dishes, and an exquisite setting.
The hotel is located in the Hamburg-Mitte district on the shore of the Alster lake. This is one of the central areas of Hamburg, where various shops, cafes, restaurants, and shopping centers are situated. It is also famous for its theaters, museums, and concert halls. It’s a wonderful place for walks; it’s a pleasure to stroll through the cozy streets and admire the decorated facades of the old buildings. By the way, the famous St. Pauli district, with its trendy bars and nightclubs, is also here - it’s a favorite spot for tourists and local youth. For coffee lovers, I recommend Starbucks, located just a stone's throw from the hotel - at the corner of house No. 5 on Neuer Jungfernstieg street.
A luxurious historic hotel in the city center is located in a historic building built in 1897. Inside, there is a fitness center, a spa complex, and two restaurants. The restaurant Haerlin is awarded 2 Michelin stars, while in the designer restaurant Nikkei Nine, you can try amazing dishes of South American cuisine. The hotel features several bars and has a very beautiful terrace by Lake Alster, which is best visited in the evening to enjoy the stunning view of the lake and the city! The hotel has a wide range of rooms in various categories: from a single deluxe to a super deluxe with a view of the lake and the signature suite "Celebrity".

Another five-star hotel with wonderful breakfasts, a cozy courtyard, and a very convenient location. The hotel is located on the right bank of Lake Aussenalster and is one of the best in the city, as confirmed by the excellent reviews from travelers.
Breakfast at the hotel is served in a buffet format with the option to choose a hot dish from the menu. I tried the eggs Florentine here, and it was very delicious! In addition, there is amazing pastries, freshly squeezed orange juice, a variety of snacks, and incredibly tasty desserts. Besides all this, the buffet features cheeses and cold cuts, fresh fruits, vegetables, fish assortments, various oils and jams, cereals, yogurts, and much more. It is worth noting that the buffet is very elegantly arranged. Having breakfast here, I felt like royalty. By the way, breakfast can be enjoyed in a lovely courtyard, which is very cozy! On weekends, breakfast ends at 12:00, so you can sleep in properly!
The hotel is located on the right bank of Lake Aussenalster in the Hamburg-Mitte district, directly opposite the ferry terminal Anleger Atlantic and not far from the Kennedybrücke bridge. The location is very convenient, making it easy to reach all major attractions on the opposite bank (by walking across the bridge, using public transport, or by taxi). Right by the hotel, there aren't many places to stroll, however, if you walk a bit deeper into the area on the right bank of the lake, you can find great restaurants, cafes, and shops. By the way, there is a wonderful coffee shop, MAYFAIR coffee & more, with quality beans located in the building next door to the hotel. The Hamburg Art Museum is just a five-minute walk from the hotel, and the Galerie der Gegenwart is also located there. The biggest advantage of this location is its proximity to the central train station; this is very convenient for those arriving in the city by train. The nearest metro station, Hauptbahnhof Nord, is also located there.
Luxurious hotel in a historic building, located 500 meters from the railway station. Inside, there is an excellent restaurant and a lovely bar with delicious drinks and snacks. The interior of the hotel and the rooms is very beautiful. By the way, there are a lot of rooms here; all of them are of different categories for any taste and budget. It is worth noting the high ceilings in the rooms, which make them very spacious! There is a small gym and a cozy inner courtyard where you can have breakfast or lunch. Delicious breakfasts, excellent service, very polite staff ready to solve any problem that may arise!

The urban grand hotel, recognized by travelers for its first-class service, hearty breakfasts, and central location. Additionally, the hotel features a luxurious spa complex and even its own beer bar, making a stay in this place practically perfect!
In the hotel restaurant, a luxurious breakfast buffet is prepared every morning for guests. It's a true feast of colors: freshly squeezed juices, fresh fruits, vegetables, desserts, snacks, and salads. The menu offers hot dishes such as omelets or porridge, which can be complemented with cheeses, meats, greens, dairy products, nuts, and much more. Here, you will also find various cereals and desserts, as well as fresh local pastries that Hamburg is famous for. Breakfast can be enjoyed in the restaurant, on the hotel terrace (during the summer), and in the room (for this, you need to order in advance from the menu). The only piece of advice I want to give you is to better visit breakfast in the restaurant; in this case, you will have access to many more options and additions.
The hotel is ideally located at the junction of two central districts: Dammtor and Rothenbaum. Across the street from the hotel, on Rentzelstraße, is Hamburg University, various cafes and restaurants, as well as the Hamburg Exhibition Hall. Of course, I must mention that the Dammtor area is known primarily for its majestic 19th-century train station, which is a 7-minute walk from the hotel. The nearest subway station is also located there. By crossing the large highway and railway tracks, you will find yourself in the enormous green Dammtor Park, which seamlessly transitions into the Hamburg Botanical Garden. I assure you, it is definitely worth dedicating at least one day of your trip to it.
Excellent hotel in the city center with spacious rooms and excellent restaurants. The hotel features 3 restaurants for every taste (a steakhouse, as well as German and Italian cuisine restaurants), 2 bars (one of which is the Flum beer bar) and a luxurious spa center with a pool, saunas, jacuzzi, and a gym. As for the rooms, they are very spacious and bright; the bathroom also surprised me with its size. There are different categories; we stayed in a penthouse suite and were completely satisfied! I want to emphasize the stylish interior of the hotel; you can have a very pleasant time in the lobby or on the terrace. All the staff are polite and friendly, the check-in process is very quick!

A five-star hotel with a luxurious spa complex, delicious breakfasts, and very good service is perfect for those who dislike the noise and hustle of the central streets. Yes, the journey to the center will take some time, but here you will feel like you are on a resort. Wonderful experience and excellent value for money!
In this hotel, you will also enjoy a buffet breakfast. Its distinctive feature is the stunning view of the garden, which will be revealed to you in the breakfast room. As for the food, nothing unusual will be offered to you, however, all dishes are prepared with very high-quality ingredients. There are several types of sausages, cheese and fish platters, fresh vegetables and fruits, several hot dishes, pastries, desserts, jams, sauces, nuts, cereals, dairy products, and freshly squeezed juices. Breakfast at the hotel ends at 10:30.
Perhaps the only downside of this hotel is its location on the outskirts of the city, however, it is important to remember that Harburg (the district where the hotel is located) is a historical part of Hamburg. It is located in the southern part of the city, along the banks of the Elbe River. This is the oldest part of the city, and here you can often find traditional German houses with wooden beams - half-timbered houses and other architectural landmarks. Despite the remote location, you can quickly reach the center of Hamburg by subway or other public transport - the journey takes no more than 20 minutes. The nearest bus stop is right by the hotel. A cool Greek restaurant TAVERNA OLYMPIADE is a 5-minute walk from the hotel, which I recommend you to visit. And across the road from the hotel begins the Raierberg Nature Reserve, which is especially beautiful in summer and autumn!
The hotel is perfect for a full-fledged vacation. It features the luxurious Lindtner Medical spa with a sauna and steam room. Additionally, several relaxing and rejuvenating treatments can be done there. There are two restaurants on the premises, one of which serves signature dishes from Northern Germany! The hotel grounds include a beautiful garden, which also has a terrace with a stunning view. All rooms are very bright and stylish, with new furniture, and emphasis is placed on orthopedic mattresses and pillows. You can really relax well here! Charging stations for Tesla and other electric vehicles are available.

Another five-star hotel offering delicious breakfasts included in the price of accommodation, first-class service, and comfortable lodging. This is a huge hotel that is very popular, primarily due to its convenient location in the city center.
The bright and diverse buffet in this hotel will delight every traveler. Personally, I was thrilled by the large amount of fresh fruits, homemade pastries, and freshly squeezed juices! In addition, here you can find vegetable salads, hot egg dishes, porridge, puddings, yogurts, cereals (5 types!), dairy products, various toasts and sandwiches, as well as several types of drinks (including champagne!). I was also surprised by the number of toppings for sweet breakfasts: here you can find chia seeds, dried cherries, and various nuts. Be sure to try the local pancakes; kids love them!
The hotel is located in a very advantageous spot - in the Fleetinsel area, just a 5-minute walk from Alster Lake and the famous Hamburg City Hall. Within walking distance, you can also find the Bucerius Kunst Forum museum, the Stadthausbrücke subway station and Rödingsmarkt, the historic Stadthausbrücke bridge, and the trendiest street for luxury shops and boutiques - Neuer Wall. Here, you can shop, take a stroll, or visit one of the many restaurants.
A huge hotel by the canal is perfect for those who are just getting to know the city. Its central location, proximity to attractions, and pedestrian streets make it very popular among tourists. The rooms here are spacious and cozy, with large windows offering a wonderful view of the city, and a spacious bathroom. There are two restaurants on the premises. Delicious breakfasts, polite staff, excellent service.

And the last one in my selection will be the wonderful five-star hotel by the lake - Le Méridien Hamburg. Panoramic views, luxurious breakfast, excellent service - practically everything in this hotel is perfect! Moreover, it is significantly cheaper than the previous options, which also makes it very popular among tourists from all over the world.
The price of accommodation at this hotel includes a wonderful breakfast in the form of a buffet, where you can find everything we are accustomed to having for breakfast. Omelets, fried eggs, pancakes, cereals with milk, yogurts, fruit and vegetable cuts, sandwiches, toasts and snacks, sausages, cheeses, salads - there is really everything here! A great addition would be quality coffee and freshly squeezed juices. I will join the reviews and thank the staff working at breakfast, they are doing a great job! The only downside is that there are often queues for breakfast at this hotel, which is not very pleasant.
The hotel is located on the right bank of Lake Aussenalster, right across from Gurli Island. You can reach the city center quite quickly - the journey won't take more than 5-7 minutes, as you just need to cross the bridge. There aren't many places for walks and attractions near the hotel, but you can always take a stroll along the waterfront to Parkbank mit Alsterblick. Lange Reihe Street, with various restaurants and cafes, is just a 7-minute walk from the hotel.
Excellent designer hotel with spacious bright rooms and a beautiful view of the city. A separate bonus is the Heritage bar-restaurant on the 10th floor. It goes without saying that it offers an incredible view of the entire historic center? The hotel also features a spa complex with a swimming pool, steam bath, and fitness center. As for the rooms, they are very beautiful - with panoramic windows and views of the lake, the city, or the river. There are even rooms with private terraces where you can sunbathe or just enjoy your leisure time. I would also like to note that all the furniture in the rooms is new, and the quality of daily cleaning is simply impressive!

I will start my selection with a luxurious five-star hotel located in the greenest area of Hamburg. A magnificent option for those who love first-class service and delicious breakfasts in the fresh air!
The hotel serves a wonderful breakfast in a buffet format, where you can find fresh fruits, vegetable salads, snacks, cereals, dairy products, bread and pastries, desserts, and much more. In addition, you can order a hot dish, whether it's an omelet or porridge. The main bonus of breakfast in this hotel is the opportunity to enjoy the morning outdoors, as you can have breakfast on the summer terrace surrounded by tall trees. If you prefer to sit inside, you will be delighted by the beautiful view of the park from the panoramic windows of the restaurant. Moreover, breakfast at the hotel lasts until 11:30, which means you don't have to wake up early!
The hotel is located on the shores of Lake Aussenalster in the Rothenbaum district. This is an elite area with luxurious villas and pre-war mansions. Moreover, it is very close to the central district of Eimsbüttel, where there are many shops for every taste and budget, restaurants, cafes, ancient landmarks, museums, and galleries. Directly next to the hotel is a green park by the lake, the DIGITAL ART MUSEUM, and the Rudolf Steiner Haus cultural center. Within walking distance are cafes and restaurants, shops, and souvenir stalls.
The hotel building itself is interesting from an architectural point of view - it has a very unusual shape. On the roof of the hotel, there is a luxurious spa center with an area of 1,000 square meters, featuring both indoor and outdoor pools. The hotel has two restaurants: Parkview and Lakeside, offering more refined cuisine, as well as the Fontenay bar with a panoramic view. Special mention should be made of the beautiful spacious rooms with unusual shapes, overlooking the lake or park. Each room is equipped with panoramic windows, allowing plenty of light, and also features a balcony with seating areas. To be honest, I can't say anything bad about this hotel. Excellent service, polite staff, delicious food, and very comfortable rooms. 10 out of 10!
