I will start with my favorite four-star hotel, located in the building of a former school. Time and again, I am drawn to the interesting room design, very friendly staff, and the best breakfasts in the city! Moreover, I really like the area where it is located; it is quiet and peaceful, and you can reach the city center by metro in just 5 minutes. 

In the hotel, breakfast is served as a colorful buffet, where you can always find options to suit every taste. I prefer savory breakfasts and choose salad, omelet, some cheese, smoked fish or ham, as well as something from the bakery. But if you have a sweet tooth, various cereals, desserts, fruits, yogurts, pancakes with jam, and much more are available here. 

Of course, in addition to this, there are always boiled and fried eggs, porridge, sausages, and small sausages, vegetable dishes, rolls, and pies. As for drinks, there will be coffee, tea, fruit juices, and milk. I must say - this hotel has some of the heartiest and most diverse breakfasts in Hamburg. And I have a lot of experience, believe me!

The hotel is located on the outskirts of the central district of Hamburg-Mitte in the Hamm neighborhood. It's a very pleasant area with plenty of squares and parks. Just 5 minutes away, there are two metro stations: Rauhes Haus and Hammer Kirche, from which you can reach the city center and be by the Alster Lake in just 5 minutes. Additionally, right next door is the large Hammer Park - a favorite spot for the city's residents. There is a lake and walking paths. In two minutes, you'll find a very respectable museum, Bunkermuseum Hamburg, which I would recommend to anyone interested in history. Also, a big plus of this location is the large Lidl supermarket directly opposite the entrance to the hotel.  

It all starts with the fact that the hotel is located in a former school building, and it is a very interesting experience! The brick building with a courtyard and cozy rooms immediately catches the eye. By the way, the rooms here are small but very comfortable, with several categories available: economy class, standard, and comfort. I would like to note the incredible cleanliness in all areas, as well as the impeccable quality of daily cleaning. There is also a bar and spacious free parking. I was very pleased with the hotel staff, who strive to solve any issues that arise and treat the guests very politely. 

An unusual modern and budget hotel with excellent breakfasts – I recommend it to friends first of all! A great choice for those who are not ready to overpay for star rating and location on central noisy streets. 

In the same area, but significantly closer to the center, there is another worthy four-star hotel. At Henri Hotel Hamburg Downtown, you feel at home! A cozy lobby, a wonderful breakfast, a private library, and a gym make it a very attractive option for very little money. 

As in the previous option, this hotel serves a large buffet. I like this format of breakfast because you can take a little bit of everything. There is a huge variety of vegetables, fruits, various appetizers, a magnificent cheese platter, cold cuts, and sausages. There are also hot dishes, eggs in various variations, fried bacon, all sorts of cereals, nuts, muesli, pancakes, yogurts, and much more. There will be everything needed even for the most discerning traveler. 

I also want to note the high quality of all products; it’s clear that they did not spare any expense here! For drinks at breakfast, various fruit juices, lemonades, sparkling water, coffee, and tea are offered. For those who follow a gluten-free diet, there is also a great breakfast option available! The only drawback I noticed is that sometimes many people gather, and you have to wait in line for a free table.

The hotel is located in the central district of Hamburg-Mitte, right across from the Mönckebergstraße subway station. Also nearby is the large shopping center Levantehaus, the ZARA boutique, the famous Mönckebergstraße street with shops and cafes, and the Hamburg City Hall. The Alster Lake is a 5-minute walk away. In the neighboring building of the hotel is an excellent burger place, Shiso Burger Hamburg, keep it in mind if you want a snack! 

Overall, this is a very touristy area, with a huge concentration of coffee shops, boutiques, restaurants, and attractions. For some, this will be a plus, for others, a minus. But be prepared for it to be very noisy in the evenings!

A modern stylish hotel with comfortable rooms is perfect for those getting to know the city. Its central location, close proximity to the metro, and hearty breakfasts are a huge plus for any tourist! However, remember that this is quite a noisy area. 

The luxurious four-star boutique hotel on the shores of Lake Außenalster captivated me at first sight! The building itself, the rooms, the breakfasts – everything here is so beautiful that it's hard to find words to describe it!

Every morning, the hotel serves a wonderful buffet — diverse and beautiful. You will find a huge selection of cheeses and sausages, yogurts and cereals, fruits and vegetables. There are also various salads, snacks, eggs in all sorts of variations, fresh pastries, desserts, and much more. It's simply impossible to stay hungry here! For drinks, you will be offered coffee, tea, fruit juices, milk, yogurts, and mineral water. In the summer, you can have breakfast not only in the historical ballroom but also on the beautiful balcony overlooking Lake Aussenalster.

The hotel is located on the shores of a lake in the Uhlenhorst area. It takes just 10 minutes to get to the historic center and main attractions. But I want to note that I really liked this area as well. Just a few steps away is the cool café Literaturhauscafé with a huge chandelier, literary-themed breakfasts, and classic German dishes. There is also a waterfront nearby for leisurely strolls and the Elb und Alstergalerie Hamburg art gallery. Within walking distance, there are plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shops, so you definitely won't be bored here! And unlike the many tourists in the center, there are hardly any here! 

Designer boutique hotel with very stylish and atmospheric rooms. There are standard rooms, suites, and junior suites. All of them look simply incredible: large windows, vintage furniture, many interesting details, very comfortable mattresses and pillows. In addition, most of them offer a wonderful view of the lake or the garden. The location is very good — by the lake, which will be a wonderful place for walks. 

Probably my favorite from this selection. The interiors are very beautiful, the breakfasts are delicious, and the staff is friendly! The location may not be suitable for everyone, but I don’t like to stay in the center, so I liked it! Moreover, the cost of living is very pleasant!

If you are looking for a budget hotel in the suburbs of Hamburg, I would like to recommend H4 Hotel Hamburg Bergedorf. It's a great option with classic rooms, a courtyard, and hearty breakfasts. The perfect balance of price and quality! 

When I chose this hotel, in addition to its convenient location for me, I noticed the very hearty and diverse breakfasts. There were many positive reviews about them! Upon arrival, I realized that all of them turned out to be objective and truthful. They really serve an amazing buffet here with a great variety of salads, fruits, various snacks, and desserts. A wide selection of savory and sweet items: pancakes, yogurts, omelets, scrambled eggs with bacon, sausages, and cheeses, there’s even porridge. I was very pleased with the amount of homemade baked goods: muffins, pies, rolls, and various breads. Good coffee, tea, juices, and milk are included! 

The hotel is located in the Bergedorf area, which is situated in the east of Hamburg. One could say it is a small town, an ideal place for those who do not want to travel far but prefer to live closer to nature. Just 300 meters away is the train station, from where you can take a train to Hamburg, which takes about 18 minutes. By car, you can reach the city center in 20 minutes. Overall, this is a very interesting area, with a genuine medieval castle, the Museum für Bergedorf und die Vierlande, and a park located just 5 minutes on foot. There are plenty of places to walk and things to do. Within walking distance, there are many restaurants and shops, and the silence and tranquility that prevail in the suburbs will appeal to any tourist. 

A classic four-star hotel with comfortable rooms. Categories include: family, standard, and business class. Inside, it is very clean, with daily housekeeping. The staff is friendly and ready to solve any problems. The place is renowned for hearty and delicious breakfasts, and reviews highly praise the variety of dishes and the quality of the products. 

The hotel is perfect for those traveling by car, as it is only 14 km from Hamburg. The cost of staying here is much lower than in the city center. 

The next option is located near Lake Alster and offers excellent breakfasts for its guests every day! The rooms here are very comfortable, the staff is polite, and the service is quite good. Moreover, the cost of staying is very reasonable. An excellent option for a budget four-star hotel!

Colorful vegetables, fruits, a huge variety of cereals, milk, including nut milk, a selection of cheeses and deli meats, eggs in various forms, fresh pastries: croissants and even the traditional German Gugelhupf cake. They also offer high-quality coffee, tea, several types of fruit juice, and even champagne for breakfast! Of course, I was most impressed by the hot dishes area, where they prepared omelets with various fillings, such as cheese or green peas. The dining organization is also excellent: there are always free tables, and the buffet is constantly replenished. 

The hotel is located at the intersection of St. Georg and Hohenfelde neighborhoods in the Hamburg-Nord area, not far from the Alster lake. This residential area in the north of Hamburg is known for its contrasts between elite neighborhoods and affordable housing for the middle class. The Uhlandstraße subway station is nearby, but it is easier to reach the city center using other public transport, and the stops are practically next door. A large park, Alsterwiese Schwanenwijk, with green lawns, a picnic and barbecue area, as well as stunning sunset views, is just a 5-minute walk away. Overall, it is a pleasant area; however, there are no shops or restaurants nearby. 

A modern new hotel with a gym, sauna, and very comfortable rooms! The cleaning and furnishing of the rooms are of a commendable standard, and a wonderful view opens up from the upper floors. Very friendly staff, always ready to help. Breakfast offers a wide selection of dishes for every taste, all fresh and delicious. The building is located on a quiet street lined with ancient luxurious houses near the park and lake. 

Very nice hotel, built quite recently. The price includes accommodation in a great room with a view, as well as an excellent breakfast. However, one should be prepared for the fact that the journey to the city center will take about 20 minutes, and there are no cafes or shops within walking distance. Additionally, there are various construction sites in the area, which can be noisy.

A small but very cozy hotel located 10 minutes from the city center offers top-notch service, very delicious breakfasts, and comfortable rooms. This is a budget three-star option for accommodation, making it perfect for those who are not ready to overpay for a central location and star rating. 

The buffet includes a variety of salads, cheeses, cold cuts, fresh vegetables and fruits, yogurts, porridges, pancakes, cereals and other dry breakfasts, omelets, and much more. It is worth noting the large selection of fish and seafood, which is quite rare for three-star hotels. Of course, breakfast would not be complete without fresh homemade pastries, good coffee, and fruit juices.

This hotel is located in the largest district of Hamburg - Wandsbek. Within a 5-minute walk, there are two subway stations: Wandsbeker Chaussee and Wandsbek-Markt, from where you can quickly reach the city center. Public transport stops are literally at the entrance. A large shopping center, QUARREE Wandsbek, as well as numerous restaurants and shops, are just a stone's throw away. You can reach the city center by car in 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Overall, this is not the quietest place to live, but the infrastructure is well-developed and there are plenty of activities to engage in!

A small classic hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. Good location – near the metro and bus station. Friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Very pleasant accommodation rates and great value for money. The rooms are very clean, with comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom. There is free parking and a luggage storage area. 

Great hotel 10-15 minutes drive from the center — an ideal option for budget-friendly accommodation. The only thing to keep in mind — is the absence of air conditioning in the rooms. 

Once, I urgently needed a hotel near Hamburg Airport, and I chose the only option with available rooms. Surprisingly, it was one of the best budget places in the city, with a delicious breakfast, very cool rooms, and even a swimming pool! If you happen to be looking for a similar option, welcome!

There is a free transfer to/from the airport. A luxurious restaurant with very tasty cuisine. It will be an ideal option for transit!
