Every detail has been thought out here – from air quality to the choice of food products. I will be able to relax and enjoy my vacation without unnecessary worries. I have great respect and love for The Westin hotel chain precisely because they pay special attention to allergy sufferers around the world. But this one in Rome is simply an incredible gem! It looks like a museum or an ancient palace of a noble family. Just look at the huge crystal chandelier or the luxurious lobby!
Upon request, special hypoallergenic bedding is provided, as well as comfortable pillows (by the way, they are covered with cotton and have a fiber synthetic filling). Such pillows can be purchased separately and used at home!
The hotel has several restaurants where dietary dishes can be ordered upon request, so dietary restrictions are not a problem for a true chef. Especially since more and more people today choose to follow a certain type of diet for health or ethical reasons. The menu includes several gluten-free options.
The Westin Excelsior Rome is decorated with antique furniture. Such hotels are for true connoisseurs of art and culture! I was surprised when I learned that the rooms are adorned with custom-made fabrics. It's no wonder that a night here costs so much. To touch the beautiful is priceless. The bathrooms are finished with marble, and from the room window, you can see Via Veneto. The area is very lively and cheerful: there are many restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops around, and public transport makes it easy to reach any point in Rome.
In addition, the hotel has a huge spa center with a jacuzzi, gym, Turkish bath, and an indoor pool. Guests particularly praise the staff, comfortable beds, and delicious breakfast in their reviews. I think they are not mistaken!
NH Collection Roma Palazzo Cinquecento

Today all the hotels in my selection are stunning! NH Collection Roma Palazzo Cinquecento is also a palace. Its luxurious historical appearance outside is impressive, however, the rooms inside are very modern. An interesting contrast!
This hotel has hypoallergenic rooms — these are the ones where guests with pets are not accommodated, and there will be a selection of pillows. Here, in principle, it is impeccably clean. One point that many forget: it is important that they have solid wooden floors; they are easier to clean and accumulate less dust than carpets. So if you are still an inexperienced allergic traveler, pay attention to rooms without carpets.
NH Collection Roma Palazzo Cinquecento is incredibly comfortable, I say incredibly, because you don't expect this in a historic building, even though it's a five-star hotel. Some rooms have a terrace with views of picturesque gardens and Roman ruins!
The location is very convenient: there is a metro station and a train station nearby (but this also means a level of noise, although there is sound insulation here), a little further away are the Spanish Steps and other attractions. Perfect for visiting Rome, especially for the first time!
Probably one of the main advantages of the hotel is the breakfast. There is everything except fish, gluten-free dishes, and the option to order something on request. The selection is enormous, for every taste!
But for a 5* hotel, I miss some amenities. There is no pool or spa, although there is a gym, restaurant, and bar, a terrace with a beautiful view.
All the options in my selection are wonderful, and in general, I like the trend that more and more hotels around the world are trying to cater to different categories of guests by offering personalized amenities and conditions.
For my trip to Rome, I would choose The Westin Excelsior Rome because it has a spa and you can fully relax!

I saw the Singer Palace Hotel in several rankings among the best in this city. But I especially liked its chic open-air terrace! The perfect place for a romantic dinner under the night sky of Rome. And what an interior they have here!
The hotel positions itself as hypoallergenic, which was very important to me. What do they mean by that? In the rooms, there is particularly thorough and regular cleaning with air purification and humidification, so that as little dust as possible accumulates on surfaces.
They also use hypoallergenic pillows without feathers and down comforters! In my opinion, feathers are outdated, as they harbor so many bacteria! Smoking is not allowed in the building, except in designated areas.
If you have a food allergy, you should inform the staff. They will be able to ensure that the prepared dishes do not contain allergens.
The interior of this hotel fills me with delight. It is a true palace! I really like the combination of modern and antique elements, bright colors, wood, and concise solutions. I think it will be comfortable here. I was pleased to learn that the rooms have mattresses produced by Simmons. This is a well-known and reputable company, so it will be comfortable to sleep here.
The building is located on the famous Villa del Corlo street in the city center – a mecca for shopping enthusiasts! There are many shops and restaurants, and everything is within walking distance.
It’s nice that breakfast features homemade dishes made from fresh local products, and for lunch, you can order Italian cuisine. I love it! Upon request, special diet options will be prepared, and there is always the possibility to discuss the ingredients with the waiter. Among all European cuisines, perhaps Italian is the most delicious!
