Istanbul is a true cradle of civilization! I love this city so much and try to visit at least once a year. When I first found myself here, I was amazed by the landscapes, architecture, and history of Istanbul. Now I feel at home here, I know which area is best to stay in, where to go for a walk, and which places to visit.
I prefer to stay in hotels, after all, it is much more comfortable than renting an apartment. For many years, I have been choosing a four-star hotel with breakfast included in the price and enjoying my favorite city!
Today I decided to share my experience and create for you a top-7 list of the best four-star hotels in Istanbul with breakfast included. Enjoy! The image galleries and prices get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on September 27, 2024.

Another worthy hotel in the center of the old town with cozy rooms, excellent service, a sauna, a fitness center, and luxurious Turkish breakfasts!
The breakfasts at the hotel are very decent, in a "buffet" format. And the most important thing is that, in addition to the standard items, they serve dishes of Turkish cuisine! The only downside (if you can call it a downside) is that the variety of dishes remains unchanged day after day. However, this did not bother me at all; during my week-long stay at the hotel, I didn't manage to try everything that the buffet offers.
The hotel is located in the Fatih district, not far from the previous option. All main attractions are just two minutes away: the Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, and much more. However, the hotel itself is situated on a quiet street, ensuring that no noise will disturb your deep sleep at night.
The rooms here are standard, with interiors closer to classic styles. Paintings on the walls and carpets on the floor are an integral part of Istanbul hotels, but there is a charm in that! There are double, triple, and quadruple (family) rooms available. All rooms have air conditioning, a television, and a private bathroom. Of course, free Wi-Fi is provided, and cleaning is done daily.

One of my favorite hotels in Istanbul! An ideal option for couples – there is a magnificent Turkish bath, a pool, an incredible massage, and the most diverse breakfasts of all that I have seen!
This hotel deserves special praise for its dining, and specifically – the breakfasts! Every morning, a buffet is served here, and the dishes are prepared only from seasonal products. The variety amazed me when I first came for breakfast – I had never seen so many nuts, fruits, yogurts, and sweets in any other hotel! Moreover, the staff always leaves rahat lokum in the room, and in the summer, you can enjoy the sunset from the hotel rooftop with a glass of free wine! The views are unreal!
As you can see, I really love the Fatih district, as this hotel, like the two previous options, is located here – just a few minutes' walk from the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the Sultan's Topkapi Palace. Literally a five-minute walk from the hotel is the Eminönü ferry port, from where you can reach the Asian side of Istanbul or take a tour of the Bosphorus. Right next to the hotel, there is a tram stop, and you can reach Galata Tower and Istiklal Street by tram in 10 minutes!
By Istanbul standards, the rooms are more than spacious. In each room, there is a huge picturesque painting above the head of the bed, I liked it so much! Additionally, the hotel lounge features an exhibition of more than 100 items from Anatolian civilizations. All rooms have a climate system, a private bathroom, a desk, and a seating area. If you are going on vacation with children, the hotel has several family rooms!
Hotel Amira Istanbul
- Distance from city center:
- 10.5 km
- Bar / Lounge

- Free Wi-Fi

Modern luxury hotel with a picturesque view of the Marmara Sea, a beautiful terrace, and delicious Turkish breakfasts! All rooms are decorated in a modern baroque style, and the staff is ready to fulfill any of your requests.
On the roof of the hotel, there is an amazing restaurant Amira, where the tastiest dishes of traditional Turkish cuisine are served. For breakfast, guests are offered a buffet in Turkish style: olives, green olives, fresh pastries, homemade cookies, and desserts. I highly recommend trying the classic Turkish dish gözleme (flatbreads with various fillings). It's great that there is an option to order a gluten-free breakfast!
The hotel is located in the Sultanahmet area (part of the same Fatih district), but closer to the waterfront and the Sea of Marmara. It is quiet and peaceful here, unlike the central part of the district. The Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar are very close – a walk to them will take about 10 minutes. There are several public transport stops nearby, making it easy to reach other attractions.
The hotel offers a variety of rooms for every taste and budget, including family rooms, economy class rooms, and suites. I am choosing a suite with a balcony; it is very nice, and the stunning sea view is priceless! By the way, all rooms are decorated with handcrafted ceiling frescoes. Amenities include air conditioning, a television, a coffee table, a modern bathroom with a tropical shower or a jacuzzi. The sound insulation is great!

New and very stylish boutique hotel in the center of the old town with a pool, Turkish bath, modern rooms, and luxurious breakfasts in the rooftop restaurant!
The hotel has a wonderful restaurant with a rooftop terrace and a panoramic view of Istanbul and the Sea of Marmara. They serve dishes of traditional Turkish cuisine, made only from local ingredients. In the mornings, a buffet breakfast is served on the terrace, the highlight of which is the freshest and incredibly delicious pastries! Oh, how I miss these Turkish simits!
This hotel is also located in the heart of the historic Sultanahmet district, just a 5-minute walk from the Hagia Sophia. Nearby, you will find the waterfront, public transport stops, various restaurants, cafes, and shops.
The rooms in the hotel are very stylish, bright, and cozy. There are many categories: from standard to super luxury. All of them are furnished with beautiful, elegant furniture, equipped with air conditioning and a television, and there is a place to relax and a desk. Each room has panoramic windows and a stunning view of the city and the sea! I stayed in a deluxe room, and it captivated me with its elegant interior.

Very picturesque spa hotel in the Fatih area with a Turkish bath, the best massage in the city, and beautiful breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the sea!
Breakfast here is served at 7:30 AM. Since I wake up early, it’s very convenient for me to recharge early and immediately go for a walk. Regarding breakfast, I can say that I was not disappointed! Everything is very delicious and aesthetically pleasing! The selection is huge, and I was especially amazed by the variety of pastries. It’s great that you can have breakfast on the terrace. No observation decks can compare to such views – in the distance, you can see islands and the endless sea!
This luxurious hotel is located 10 minutes from the Grand Bazaar. There is a tram stop 200 meters away, and you can quickly reach the Galata Tower and Taksim Square! The historic Sultanahmet district, which houses the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and the Blue Mosque, is only 800 meters away – a 10-minute walk.
The rooms here are standard, without frills. Of course, there are luxurious handmade paintings! Otherwise, nothing remarkable, but very comfortable: air conditioning, TV, private bathroom! There are both family and single rooms available.
Clarion Hotel Golden Horn
- Distance from city center:
- 4.2 km
- Bar / Lounge

This is truly a luxurious hotel that stands out from all other options. It is stylish, modern, and renovated. Here you will find excellent service, cozy rooms with a great view, delicious breakfasts on the terrace, and the best service in Istanbul.
This hotel offers wonderful buffet breakfasts, very diverse and hearty. There is the Havoc restaurant with dishes of local Turkish and international cuisine. There may be a bit of a lack of variety here, but everything is very tasty!
The hotel is located in an incredibly beautiful area, by the Golden Horn bay. Nearby is the "Miniatürk" park and the "Golden Horn" park, where you can have a great time and see a completely different, modern Istanbul! You can reach the historical center by taxi or public transport in just 15 minutes.
The rooms are very beautiful: expensive wooden furniture, a seating area, huge beds, and a view from the windows. Of course, there is air conditioning, a television, bathrobes, slippers, and all the necessary toiletries. Some have their own terrace, and the windows offer a panoramic view of the Golden Horn Bay. I stayed in one like that, and it was simply an indescribable feeling!

One of the best hotels in Istanbul that I have had the pleasure of staying at. To be honest, I don't understand why it has four stars instead of five. Everything here is wonderful: hammam, pool, luxurious decor, attentive staff, and most importantly – a very diverse breakfast with dishes from Turkish cuisine!
The breakfasts at the hotel are simply amazing: large, diverse, and very nutritious. If you wish, you can order a hot dish. The hotel staff will always take into account all your food preferences and will prepare an individual option if you have allergies or food intolerances. The hotel has the Alaturca restaurant, which serves traditional Turkish cuisine, among other things. Additionally, throughout the day, all guests have access to free fruits, pastries, and drinks. There is also a café – here you can order salads and light snacks, and the bar prepares a variety of cocktails.
The hotel has a great location: it is in the historic center, within walking distance of the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and the Blue Mosque. A walk to the Grand Bazaar will take just over 10 minutes. Of course, this is not the quietest area, as there are many tourists here. However, you won't have to spend money on taxi fares since you are living in the very heart of the attractions.
The rooms in the hotel are luxurious and very comfortable. I especially love the interiors: vintage furniture, beautiful paintings on the walls, and in many rooms, there are very cozy balconies where one can relax while watching the hustle and bustle of the city. By the way, the hotel has different categories of rooms: I usually prefer a suite with a jacuzzi and a terrace, while my friends once stayed in a special room for couples and were absolutely thrilled! Each room is equipped with air conditioning, a television, a safe, plenty of space for storing clothes, a very comfortable bed, and a private bathroom.
