We were there in November 2022. The hotel has a good location between Kata and Karon. It's a 15-20 minute walk to these beaches, and there's a morning transfer. Although, one time the driver didn't see us on the beach and left without waiting. Breakfast includes: Thai noodles, Tom Yum soup, decent sausages, cereals with milk, juices, 3 kinds of eggs, grated carrots, lettuce leaves, Hawaiian mix, cucumbers, tomatoes, butter, pancakes, bread (can be toasted), apples, watermelon, pineapple. The dining area is cozy, self-service where you clean up after yourself, but the plus side is that there is access to a microwave and a water cooler all day. This means you can order food through food delivery services like Foodpanda or Grab, and heat it up in the dining area. Not to mention the water - we filled our bottle about 100 times a day (it's free). The hotel has a very green parking area and a veranda where guests smoke or sit with their laptops. The pool is decent, with loungers, including a couple comfortably under shelter with fans in a quiet zone. I also liked the gym, with treadmills overlooking the pool. I wouldn't recommend the pool access specifically in this hotel. There is not much privacy, as the pathway leads to the main pool, and guests from the rooms above can watch you. Additionally, there is not a very nice fence in front of the ground-floor rooms. There is an elevator. Check-in and check-out was smooth. They didn't even ask for a deposit. The staff is friendly. The cleaning service is quite good. Towels are changed upon request, just throw them on the floor. The floor is cleaned properly. There is some rust on the lampshade, but that's just wear and tear from two years, you know. Didn't notice any other major negatives in the room. Convenient mirrors with lighting in the cabinets, comfortable room lighting. The curtains are almost blackout. Across the street, there is a market where you can find coconuts for 20 baht and very tasty food in cafes. You can choose the fish at the market and they will cook it for you right there. Affordable!

I will also leave my review about this hotel. I had read about it in advance, so I knew where I was going and there wasn't even a hint of disappointment. The hotel is budget-friendly. Instead of a lobby, there is a small lobby, the dining area is also small, and overall everything is simple, homely, without any grandeur. There seemed to be fewer people, it was very quiet, no drunken shouts, no noise at the pool: quiet, nice, birds singing, flowering trees around the pool - delightful. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. They were constantly cleaning, changing things, everyone was smiling. The towels and bed linen were not perfect, but it didn't bother us. We were given an upgraded room with direct pool access. I would never have chosen it myself, I thought it wouldn't be great, but it turned out to be amazing!! We were really impressed. Just keep in mind that part of the pool runs alongside these rooms with pool access, so people could swim past your windows occasionally. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the sea. We don't have young children, so it didn't bother us, we never used the shuttle. We really liked that the hotel is off the main road, and the street is always quiet and not very crowded. Last year we stayed in Karon, and that street: crowds of people, music coming from everywhere, noise, hustle, chaos - just drove us crazy. We preferred Karon Beach. Kata had a lot of jellyfish and it was a bit trickier with the shades. In Karon, at the very beginning of the beach - there are rocks, amazing fish on them, we bought a mask right on the way to the beach and did some snorkeling without going to the islands too) Also, on the way to the beach, we got used to having lunch at Red Corner. Tom Yum, Tom Kha, seafood rice for only 70 baht, all delicious. Across the street from Red Corner, I went for a massage at Sweet Lemongrass. In general, we plan to come back here next year and definitely book a room with pool access :)

Good evening! We stayed at this hotel at the end of December. It was the third hotel during our December trip. We thought it would be the worst. But it didn't meet our expectations. In a good way. There were 3 adults in the room. The third person slept on the sofa. The woman, not large, possibly a bit cramped for a larger person. What we liked - the hotel was all in light tones, large windows, high ceilings, and the room seemed spacious and bright! There are no bedside tables in the room, only 2 small tables. In the shower, there is a wooden flooring on the floor, like in a sauna, convenient, you don't stand in water. There are beach bags, lightweight slippers that don't go between your toes, although we didn't use them. Smoking is not allowed on the balcony, only outside in a designated area. We liked the breakfasts, not very diverse, but delicious! Food was constantly replenished. The soup changed every three days. Either chicken or fish with vegetables, different pasta every day, fried rice, sausages, bacon. Boiled eggs, fried eggs, omelette, or scrambled eggs. Pancakes, 2 types of cupcakes, vegetables - lettuce leaves, cucumber, tomatoes, grated carrots. Honey, 3 types of jam. 3 types of fruits. The dining area was not large, modest, but there was enough space for everyone. Coffee and tea were in sachets and coffee in a large thermos. The dishes were cleared by the staff after eating, placed on a separate table. There is a beach transfer 3 times in the morning, goes to Karon, and to both Kata beaches, whoever wants to get off at which beach can do so. The transport picks up everyone, if more guests arrive by a certain time, it returns and picks up again, they didn't wait for the next hour. It took 17 minutes to walk back from Karon. There are 2 Seven-Elevens and a Macro near the hotel. Very convenient. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I would recommend this hotel to tourists without young children, to those who enjoy walking and renting transportation. MINUS - The Wi-Fi was very bad.

avatar

I agree with almost everything you wrote) we were there at the end of March 2023. 1. Did not see beach bags( 2. My husband smoked on the balcony, there was an ashtray. 3. I can't call the breakfasts good, on the contrary, quite modest and get boring during a week stay. We then went to a cafe nearby.

Good evening. We are currently staying at a hotel. The bed linens are clean, the cleaning is of good quality. The renovation was done not long ago, everything is fresh. There are no odors in the rooms, the air conditioner is almost silent. The room is on the opposite side of the road, the views are through a fence. No special views of local buildings 😄😄😄, but it's quiet. The breakfasts, compared to other three-star hotels, are even better. The only downside is that it's a bit cool. The pool is clean. The only drawback is the lack of its own territory. You can take a shuttle to the beach, but walk back. The market, shops are within a five-minute walk.

avatar

Hello, just returned from this hotel, it's my third hotel in Thailand. For a 3-star hotel, it's ideal and even better because of its cleanliness, daily cleaning, daily towel change, and bed linen change every three days. The breakfasts are good, everything is fresh, and there is a variety of choices. The hotel is quiet, even though there are many people. Initially, we were assigned a room near the pool, there is some noise from the road, but it's tolerable... I asked to be moved to the other side the next day, where it was quiet and only birds were heard. We had a great 9-night sleep! Conclusion - the hotel is good.

avatar

We are currently staying at a hotel. It's the second day here and everything is going well. Our room has direct access to the pool and it is clean. The only thing missing is toothbrushes with toothpaste. However, everything else is provided. The breakfasts are not too heavy, but there is enough variety. They can make fried eggs (sunny side up or omelette), rice, noodles, soup, sausages, chicken, fruits, and vegetables upon request. The staff is friendly.

avatar

Hello, how far is it to the sea?

avatar

Hello) It takes about 20-30 minutes, depending on the pace. My husband walks faster, while I walk slower. You can reach both Kata and Karon. They are almost at the same distance. There is a free shuttle service from the hotel, which operates round-trip at 9, 10, and 11 o'clock.

We were on vacation in early December. The hotel is small. It's a budget hotel. Our room was on the second floor with a view of the pool. Cleaning service was provided daily, as well as towel replacements. The beddings and towels were snow white. The room itself was nice, but the shower was a bit old. Beach towels and ironing facilities were available at the reception. The staff was friendly. However, the breakfasts were really poor. We are not picky, but on the third day, my husband refused to go there anymore.

avatar

If someone suddenly plans to go to this hotel, the only advantage here is the cleanliness, they clean every day. There is no point in getting a room with pool access, it's an extra +20k to the package, if you go that way, and we only swam there once during the whole stay. Breakfasts can hardly be called breakfasts, it's the same thing every day.

avatar

Agree, just returned.

I stayed at this hotel in March and have been living here for a week now. It's a great budget hotel with a good location - equally close to Kata and Karon. There are cafes and shops everywhere. The pool is decent. The gym, however, is very small and does not have air conditioning.

avatar

We stayed at this hotel for two weeks, tomorrow is our departure and we are quite satisfied with everything. We chose a regular room without pool access and breakfast, as we usually weren't there at 5-6am and only returned in the evening. Although the hotel is located on the main road, it is set back a bit, so it's quite quiet. We set the air conditioner to the minimum cooling, it worked perfectly and didn't make any noise. A couple of times we forgot about it and I got cold at night 😅 They changed the towels upon request, even every day. You just leave them on the floor and they replace them. We didn't really take advantage of this, we only had to replace them a couple of times because of sand, but they were already changed every other day. Beach towels are provided at the reception and you can change them as many times as you want. We changed them every time we returned from the beach. The towels, especially for the beach, have seen better days, but considering the price-quality ratio, they were just fine. I didn't notice that the room was thoroughly cleaned in terms of dust, bathroom, etc., but the floors were always mopped. The pool is 1.2 meters deep, not very large, and you must not forget about the steps from the first floor rooms, I hit my little finger at the first dive 😬 We liked the pool, especially after touring the whole island, it was nice to swim in the shade in fresh water with green milk tea on the side (from a small café nearby, it only cost 30 baht). The location is very convenient, there is a wholesale store called Makro nearby, we bought yogurts, banana cakes, water, and everything there. A little further away, there are 7/11 stores on both sides, and there is also a gas station nearby, which is very convenient if you rent a bike. There is also a market nearby, not just one, with fruits and street food, there are plenty of fruits there in general. It's convenient that there are two beaches nearby, although we rarely went to them. In the morning, there is a shuttle to the beach from the hotel. You can order breakfast separately or order a separate dish, but I think the prices for it are too high. Once we stopped at a café on the way to the nearest Kata beach for breakfast, and it cost only 100 baht, and the portion was huge. The same Pad Thai costs 100 baht, and pineapple fried rice costs 120 baht, but here a croissant costs 180 baht. In general, we preferred to eat local food and fruits, and left things like omelettes for breakfast at home 😊 Overall, we are very satisfied with the hotel, so I recommend it, especially since it's in the affordable segment. 👍

avatar

We stayed at the hotel from April 7th to 16th. We had 2 rooms with pool access. We were assigned rooms with a mountain view, and the pool was exclusive to only 10 rooms, which we really liked. The pool water was clean, and the leaves were cleared every morning. There was a slight damp smell and mosquitoes in our room, but the air conditioner worked quietly. There was no damp smell in the children's room. We liked everything, daily cleaning, fresh water provided every day, even if we hadn't finished the previous day's water. Towels were changed upon request, and the beddings were changed every 3 days. There was a hairdryer, soap, shower caps, cotton swabs, shampoo, and shower gel in dispensers. The room was clean and cozy, with a huge and very comfortable bed and pillows. Beach towels were provided at the reception. No one was left hungry after breakfast. The Tom Yum soup was too spicy for me)))) The beach was a bit far, but there were advantages to that as well. For those who didn't want to walk much, there was a free shuttle to Karon, Kata, and back at 9, 10, and 11 o'clock. There was a 7/11 store near the hotel, and even closer was Makro, pharmacies, and a market.

avatar

Can you please tell me if there was a kettle in the room?

avatar

Yes, kettle, 2 cups, 2 tea sets, teaspoons, tea, coffee in sachets.

avatar

Thank you ❤️ Also, I read that there is an unlimited cooler downstairs, so to speak. And you can use the microwave. And there is some kind of gazebo where you can eat your own food. For example, food bought at the market. Is that true?

avatar

Yes, the water cooler is located near the tables, where everyone filled their bottles with water. I don't remember if there was a microwave, I think I saw one somewhere, but we didn't need it, so we didn't pay attention. There is also a terrace outside where you can sit and have a meal, but it is mostly used by smokers. I think you can also eat at the tables where people have breakfast, as it is open to everyone.

I am providing a live review of the room. We stayed here in February and overall, the hotel was decent. In terms of cleanliness, the room was cleaned every day, the floors were wiped down daily, and they provided water. The bed linen was clean and the towels were also changed regularly. As for breakfast, they served omelettes, scrambled eggs, fried rice or noodles, soup (sometimes Tom Yum), vegetables, pancakes, watermelon, and pineapple. You won't go hungry, but it's not a wide variety. The location is not bad, overall quiet and peaceful. However, it was more convenient to stay in Karon. They offer a shuttle to the beach in the morning.

We're flying to Melody Phuket tomorrow. We were there in 2020 and we liked it. But we are not picky. There is no green territory near the hotel, and the pool is small. The rooms were clean in 2020, and daily cleaning was provided. The breakfasts were somewhat monotonous but we did not go hungry. There is a shuttle to the beach every 15 minutes. The staff is attentive. There is parking for bikes and cars. There are plenty of shops, cafes, and a market nearby. We were pleased with the comfortable pillows (for example, I can't sleep on pillows in Turkey and Egypt). Considering that in Thailand you only come to the hotel to sleep, it's a good hotel in terms of price and quality.

avatar

We are currently staying at The Melody Phuket, Kata hotel. Some sources say it is a 3-star hotel, while others say it's 4 stars. In reality, it feels more like a solid 3 stars. I really like everything about it. We chose rooms on the ground floor with direct access to the pool from our balcony, and it was a great decision. The breakfast is typical, the place is very clean, and the staff is polite and quiet. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to Kata and 20 minutes to Karona. There is a free shuttle service to both beaches a couple of times a day, but we haven't used it. There are plenty of things around - massages, cafes, bars, and stores. I love Thailand ❤

avatar

And are breakfasts served by the pool like in the photos?

avatar

No 😁 it is possible to do for an additional fee, but we did not ask for it)

It turned out that we were given a room in an upgraded category - with pool access - for free, I don't know why, we signed some paper stating that we do not object to the room upgrade. That's why I haven't seen any other types of rooms. Well, and for ourselves, we agreed with the child that next time we will immediately take a room with pool access, we liked it) It was quiet for us, only birds were singing in the mornings. Except for one day when some foreign children got to the pool early in the morning and were making noise and shouting.

Returned yesterday. The hotel is quite "urban" in general. It's not really in the jungle. We first met a lizard (gecko) at our friend's on the 1st floor... well, there's the entrance to the pool there... Everything is clear... we also saw it/him on the balcony... And then the same lizard ran under the sofa in our room on the 4th floor... And on the day of departure, while closing the curtain, I saw a cockroach on it 🤦🏼‍♀️ I tried to shake it off on the balcony, then couldn't find it... I am calm and positive about it. But the fact remains a fact.
